DESCRIPTION: Illinois Watch Co., Springfield, Illinois, man's pocket watch, 16 size, 17 jewels, stem wind and lever set, adjusted, wavy line damascened, nickel plate movement with lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance and whiplash micrometric regulator in a 14 karat, yellow gold, intricately engraved hunting case with monogram on front cover, and Roman numeral, double sunk, white enamel dial, blued steel Breguet style hands, serial #1773081, 101.7g TW, c1905.
CONDITION: CASE: Small nick in edge of front cover from gold test; Minor scratches on outer surface of case; Scratches on inner surface of case, fine scratches on cuvette; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: Hairline in enamel, very light, 8:00; Cracks in enamel, sunk center near 15 second mark. HANDS: Minor oxide, tip of minute. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor scratches and 2 dings; Minor scratches on winding wheel and click; Speck of oxide on regulator spring. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks).
